- Poem by N.E-M
I don’t really know how I should begin,
We’re all human, I mean we all have sinned
In one way or another, we’ve all made a mistake,
we can’t stick in the past, so let’s move on for God’s sake.
I’m not saying that it’s going to be easy;
I’m not saying that I moved on.
I’m just saying that it’s worth trying,
to make up for something we once did wrong.
If you always think about all wrongs you’ve made,
you’ll never be able to see your future bright.
Instead of stalking your past, start making things right.
Yes, it’s hard, when you always see a thing that bothers,
if you can’t help yourself, don’t expect that you can help others.
I’m not saying that life is easy, because it’s never been,
but why don’t we start with looking at things like they’ve never been seen?
I’m not here to tell you how you should live or that the grass on the other side is more green,
I’m not here to judge or pointing my fingers, because I know, mine aren’t either clean.
I’ve also complained about life, I still do, about how tough things are,
but all we are doing is leaving ourselves, every day with a new scar.
Life’s what we make it and we all have to live with the consequences,
either we want it or not.
We’re cry and complain, but we don’t have to stand in that spot.
Stop judging yourselves, give yourself another chance and leave your bad memories behind.
Use them sometimes like homework for yourself when you need to clean your mind.
Let people in, open your heart a bit, maybe there are people that can help you forget.
If not, so what? There’s nothing you have to regret.
Just like you need chances, I also do.
You can’t keep others out forever, just because something bad happened to you.
We’re not perfect, but we can change the world together,
if not, at least we can make it better.
I can’t tell you the solution of your problems, but I can help you find them.
We can help each other to stand on our feet again.
Life is not fair, I don’t know what is,
but one thing I know is that, in the end, God will give us justice.
